Try Again Button

Try Again Button

A great way to study information is to test yourself on it. Research on testing has shown that testing can help solidify already learned information as well as prepare the brain for learning new information. To help you with this, CourseKata has a useful Try Again feature that temporarily resets items on a page.

To use the feature, you first need to answer every question on the page (e.g., multiple-choice, short answer, etc.). Once you have completed the page and moved on, the next time you visit the page the Try Again button will appear at the top right of the page, just to the right of the Completed badge.

When you click the button, your answers on the page will be temporarily cleared so that you can try answering them again. Your new answers will be scored so that you can see how you did, but they will not be saved. The next time you visit or reload the page, your original answers will be shown again. Please be aware that your original responses are the ones that your instructor will see.

Note that the Try Again button only appears on pages with embedded questions; not all pages have questions. Note also that the Try Again button only clears out your answers to multiple choice, short answer, and matching questions. It does not clear out the coding exercises. You are always free to re-try the coding exercises without having to click the Try Again button, simply click the "Reset" button for each exercise.
